In this contemporary world characterized by fluidity, fleeting relationships, and ephemeral moments the painting of Jorge Alio stands out; it invites us to take time to think, to enter the nocturnal atmosphere and "tangueras " of Buenos Aires, peopled by provocative characters who tell us of their deepest passions. It offers an atmosphere of intoxicating dreams transporting us in sense of boundless empathy.
A world of mysterious women, suggestive glances, intrusive proposals, who seduce, who promise, their bags hanging off their bare shoulders, carrying shoes that can show us the way to pleasure, to music and to dance in 2/4 rhythm.
Jorge Alio, who will be present during the exhibition in Toulouse, is revealed here in another persona, both creator of and actor in his own works.
