The Tangopostale festival and Toulouse Tourist Office offers a novel way to explore the life and music of the greatest singer of tango (specifically rioplatense), born in Toulouse December 11, 1890, whose work is recognised by UNESCO since 2003.

We start at the Place de l'Europe entrance to the garden Compans-Caffarelli (see map), continue past the monument to Carlos Gardel and then the Japanese Garden before a stop in the yard where he took ​​his first steps, 4 rue du Canon Arcola. The tour goes on to boulevard Armand Duportal up to Place St Pierre, crossing the St Pierre bridge, past the Hospital La Grave, where Carlos Gardel was born. Then to the commemoration to the Spanish Republican Exile and Port Viguerie on the banks of the Garonne, then past the Place de l'Estrapade to reach St Cyprien.

At each stop, the Toulouse Heritage guide will offer insights and moments of pure tango plus you will see the magnificent landscape and monuments of Toulouse. The tour ends with a visit to Saint Cyprien, Tangopostale will offer refreshments and a chance to admire the paint Exhibition: Paintings by Jorge ALIO (Espace Saint Cyprien)

On Thursday and Friday,there is an opportunity to go dancing or watching the dancers in the Eterna Milonga (Quai de la Daurade), place de la Daurade And on Friday, go to the Conservatory of Music for a concert-restitution of music and traditional Argentinian songs ( admission free).
