As part of Carlos Gardel Day, Solange Bazely will give a new talk on the Toulouse-born cantor. “Carlos Gardel, the voice of tango”, will retrace how little Charles Gardes who was born in Toulouse in 1890, became the universal tango singer. The talk will also address what he brought to tango, what his influences were, and what heritage he left behind.
