Le Chapeau Rouge, Espace Saint Cyprien
The name of this talented duo comes from the word “tannin”, which gives red wine its structure, flavour and colour. This is the aim of this duo from Buenos Aires… applied to tango and folk music. Their special “tannin” produces a successful alchemy through the dialogue of two popular instruments, the chromatic harmonica (Santiago Álvarez) and the guitar (Fernando Sánchez). Their style is characterized by a close complicity and spontaneity. Their repertoire is made up of tangos, waltzes and milongas from different periods, as well as zambas and chacareras, mixed with their own compositions.
The Duo Tanino has played in Latin America, mainly in Buenos Aires, as well as in major European festivals (Italy, France, Germany and the UK, etc.).
They have been awarded several prizes (particularly the “best instrumental tango duo” in Buenos Aires in 2011) and they are currently preparing their second album.
