Sandra Rumolino, the female voice of tango
For many years, Sandra Rumolino has established herself as a leading figure in European vocal tango. Gifted with a profoundly expressive and unique voice, she moves with remarkable ease in a variety of stage settings. Whether she is embodying the title role in Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer's "MarÃa de Buenos Aires," performing on prestigious stages around the world, or sharing more intimate musical moments, Sandra Rumolino reveals a rare capacity for adaptation, attentiveness, and embodiment.
Her artistic journey is closely linked to a collaboration of more than twenty-five years with the legendary bandoneon player Juan José Mosalini. Within his Grand Tango Orchestra or in the show "Alma de tango," this emblematic collaboration has helped to make Sandra Rumolino a major figure in the world of sung tango.
Passing on tango and folklore: a passion in service to others
Alongside her stage career, Sandra Rumolino is a renowned teacher. For several years, she has shared her knowledge and experience through workshops and masterclasses, accompanying amateur and professional singers as a vocal coach in discovering the profound essence of tango.
Her teaching method is based on a subtle balance between technical rigor and interpretive work. She invites each participant to develop an intimate relationship with the text, the rhythm and the pulse, in order to reveal a personal, sincere and embodied expressiveness, whether it is a tango, a waltz, a zamba or another rhythm from the folk repertoire.
Vidal Rojas, guitar and Argentine tradition
A renowned guitarist, Vidal Rojas is a musician deeply rooted in the musical traditions of tango and folklore. For many years, he has accompanied singers and instrumentalists both on stage and in teaching. His playing, at once precise, sensitive, and rhythmic, provides essential support for vocal and interpretive work.
Within this masterclass, his attentive guidance will allow participants to explore the relationship between voice, text and guitar, to refine their sense of rhythm and to deepen their stylistic understanding of the different genres covered.
