Sunday, July 5
6:30 p.m. 7:45 p.m.
Dual role with Irene Messina & Fernanda Seoane
Price : €16 per workshop / €30 for both workshops
✦ Workshop 1: Role reversal in the embrace
Changing roles in the embrace – orientation, intention and listening
We will work on the role reversal within the embrace:
– how to change the orientation and the embrace in an organic way
– how to transition from leading to being led (and vice versa) within the dance
– how to sense when a change is possible and consistent in the connection
✦ Workshop 2: Variations on the gyro (without changing roles)
Changing intention in the gyro – orientation, tension and listening
Starting from a gyro, we will explore variations based on the modulation of muscle tension and intention.
We will see how, in the same role, one can go from guiding to being guided without changing roles, by playing with the quality of contact and energy.
Both courses are open to everyone: it is not necessary to come as a couple or with a partner.
Irene Messina & Fernanda Seoane
Irène Messina and Fernanda Seoane are two tango dancers and teachers originally from Buenos Aires. Based in Toulouse, they currently teach at the Bellegarde Cultural Center and are part of the teaching team at La Huella Tango. Artists with rich and complementary backgrounds, they share a vision of modern, inclusive, and socially engaged tango, centered on listening, the co-creation of movement, and the deconstruction of gender stereotypes.
Together, they offer a tango of dialogue, double role and adaptability, where each dancer is invited to explore roles, listening and creativity.
