Sacadas and ganchos: anchoring and working the free leg
with Laure Fourest & Carmela Acuyo
Workshop

Price : 65 € per day

For the second year, Laure Fourest and Carmela Acuyo are delighted to partner up to offer you a fundamental technique course adapted to both roles, seeking the right balance between tone and relaxation. This year's theme will focus on managing the free leg, which is sometimes necessary in different ways but always essential for those who guide as well as for those who "interpret."
In a workshop whose degree of complexity will increase to meet the needs of all participants, we will travel from walking to ganchos through sacada work.

✓ Level:
from 2 years of regular tango practice.
✓ Material: whatever you like, as long as you're comfortable! For women, please come with flat dance shoes/slippers (or thick socks) AND your heels.
✓ Language: The course will be given in French, but can be summarized individually in English or Spanish if necessary for non-French speakers.
✓ Registration:
• We encourage you to register with someone of the same level as you. If you register alone, you will be required to regularly change partners and dance with everyone regardless of experience levels. Dual roles are warmly welcome.
• Money should not be an obstacle to your registration, do not hesitate to contact Laure Fourest if necessary: laurefourest@yahoo.fr

Laure Fourest

Laure Fourest

"A lifelong dancer, and a tango dancer for almost 15 years, I teach weekly in the Drôme region and travel to give workshops in France and Belgium, for associations or festivals. Depending on the occasion, I work alone, enjoying dancing both roles, or with different partners.
Trained in Anatomy for Movement, and now engaged in developing my osteopathy practice alongside my tango teaching activity, I developed TangoAnatomy to accompany tangueros and tangueras during their body journey in this delicate and sensitive dance.
Inhabiting one's body ever more consciously, gently and respectfully, that's what interests me, what transmitting dance means to me, what gives meaning to my profession.

Carmela Acuyo

Carmela Acuyo

Carmela Acuyo has been a professional dancer for over 25 years (classical and contemporary dance) and is the artistic director of the Vendaval dance company.

"For more than 15 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching Argentine tango on a weekly basis as well as in the form of workshops in different cities in France and with very enriching partnerships. Sensitive and aware of the risks that result from a poor knowledge and use of our body, I decided to develop a method of teaching tango technique based on anatomy in movement, seeking above all respect and bodily comfort. Trained in parallel in psycho-corporal support, I have the desire to transmit tools to develop autonomy, creativity, self-confidence and fulfillment through this magnificent dance."

Laure Fourest will also give a Tango Anatomy workshop on Tuesday, July 1st.
