The FITT association
Since the first edition, many other themes and artists have been honored (the Other Shore (Uruguay), Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzolla, Anibal Troilo, etc.). From the first editions, we have invited the most emblematic orchestras of today's tango, whether they are based in Europe or have crossed the oceans to join us.
The festival has grown considerably, from 5 to 7 days in 2012 to reach its goal of 10 days in 2014, thus offering 2 weekends to the people of Toulouse and festival-goers who sometimes came from far away (California, Venezuela, Reunion Island, etc.). Some cultural partnerships and prestigious institutions have allowed us to progress: José Cabanis Media Library, Toulouse Cinematheque, École supérieure d'audiovisuel (ESAV), Cinélatino, Cinespaña, Espace Pont des Demoiselles, the Ombres Blanches bookstore, and we can now rely on partner locations such as the Centre culturel Saint-Cyprien, the Cervantes Institute, the Regional Conservatory, the Communauté Municipale de Santé, etc. Patrons support us and, something unusual for a festival, we have had some years more than 200 members. Our cultural action is recognized by the Academia Nacional del Tango (Buenos Aires) and the Argentine and Uruguayan governments.

The team is made up of around ten administrators and several year-round employees in charge of logistics, communication, administration and part of the programming. We are supported during the festival by 60 to 80 volunteers, whose commitment is essential to ensure the smooth running of the festival and allow us to offer a rich and varied edition each year. Thanks to this mobilization, we can guarantee a smooth organization and offer an unforgettable experience to festival-goers from all over.

Beyond this internal team, we have benefited from the valuable support of local and regional associations since the creation of the festival. Today, we work more particularly hand in hand with Tangueando Toulouse and Néopostale, who contribute to the programming and logistical implementation of many events that punctuate the festival.
Spirit of programming
Tangopostale takes over the streets, the gardens, brings the squares to life and makes the cafés vibrate. The festival invites Toulouse residents and festival-goers to (re)discover the pleasure of a popular and lively tango. The cultural offering is rich and adapted to all sensibilities.
Through a wide variety of concerts, workshops, conferences, etc., the Tangopostale festival is an opportunity to bring together renowned international artists who gravitate around the tango sphere in the pink city. We are pleased to introduce as many people as possible to their many talents and the richness of this universe.
The balls or milongas are the heart of the festival, and call for meeting and sharing in a friendly and joyful atmosphere. The many musicians, dancers and speakers present participate in making Tangopostale a true celebration of tango and its culture for 10 days.
With more than 100 hours of dancing in ten days, outdoors and indoors, Tangopostale offers a timeless interlude for tango enthusiasts. Traditional and neo tango intertwine for an unforgettable extended party.
