NeoGaronne is a melting pot of Neo DJs/DJs, with 21 of them sharing the sound system this year! We welcome up-and-coming DJs, regional DJs, as well as national and international ones who love the venue, the atmosphere, and are happy to be part of the adventure! We should also thank them for their generosity. NeoGaronne is also about giving a chance to those who want to try their hand at an international festival for the first time.
➜ The neo-tango atmosphere is light and friendly; the rules of tango are set aside to focus on the joy of dancing. It's still a ronda, so if you're not moving around too much, dance in the middle.
➜ NeoGaronne is free because all the DJs are volunteers; the goodwill of the festival and the people who help us makes this possible.
✚ At the end of the evening, we will ask you for a little help to put away our stuff and carry the sound system, which allowed you to have such a pleasant time!
For greater comfort, we hope to be able to move to a new location for NeoGaronne this year. However, we are still awaiting confirmation… stay tuned! Opening hours may also change depending on this decision.
DJ Alain l'Angevin
"Playing at Tangopostale for the now-exiled former Toulousain that I am, what a joy! It is here that I fell into neo: suddenly we could dance tango to other styles of music, ranging from baroque to blues to electro!
My playlists are eclectic and heartfelt; I hope they'll sweep you away…"
DJ Angie
"As a dancer and then a tour guide, curiosity led me to also take an interest in DJing. So I attended a workshop with an excellent Argentinian DJ, Damian Boggio.
In my sets, I quickly introduced alternative tandas that dancers appreciated, eventually leading me to perform a full set at our monthly milonga in Nice, and then in Turin. This will be my first experience in Toulouse, and I can't wait to share my world with you and get you to dance to my selections."
DJ ANNA
Anna is Néopostale's iconic DJ. She's a unique artist who truly mixes music live. She transforms tracks by assembling, modifying, and enriching them to create an unforgettable atmosphere. You've probably all danced to Anna's music before... if not, you now know how to fix that! By the way, she'll be doing the DJ workshop during the festival.
DJ Be-bop Tango
Creator and host of the Toulouse milonga Be-bop Tango for 20 years, open to all styles of music.
DJ Britta (Geneva)
Throughout her life, Britta has been interested in dance, and since 2000 in Argentine tango. She taught classes and accompanied practice sessions (praticas) between 2003 and 2011 in the Geneva region. Neo-tango has always been important to her. In 2023, Britta began composing Neolongas and occasionally writing for TangoDanza.
DJ Christine
French and based in Brittany, I fell into the great pot of tango 20 years ago. It is with passion that I have gradually discovered its many facets. I started providing music for alternative milongas in western France about fifteen years ago.
What I love most is taking the dancers on a musical journey through very different worlds. I like to play with contrasts, I like to push waves of energy to their peak just as I like to then return to calm, where slowing down and slowing down allows you to truly savor the experience.
The main idea being: "let a wind of creativity, freedom and good humor blow!"
DJ Elleoj
DJ Elleoj, raised on ballroom and Latin dance, also enjoys providing the music for dance parties. For almost 30 years, Argentine tango has been part of my repertoire. I love all styles of tango and I strive to share them in my milongas. Five years ago, I created the first Neolonga in the Languedoc region. My aim being to get you to dance, I tailor my music selection to the audience.
DJ ÉLODIE
Prompted by the desire of sharing her musical favorites with her friends from Nantes, Élodie found herself behind the decks in 2018. As she got caught in the game, she decided to carry on in order to contribute to a better perception of alternative music and its integration into traditional tango events.
Since then, she has been sowing the little seeds of neo-fantasy whether in "mixed" festivals or in purely Neo ones. This will be her 11th participation in Tangopostale, both as dancer and as a DJ of international renown.
DJ Groovy (DJ since childhood - Brussels)
"I am first and foremost a dancer and I create my Neo Tango sets directly from what happens on the dance floor. I read the energy of the dancers, their impulses, their silences, and I shape the music in real time, to the rhythm of their movements.
Nothing is predetermined: each evening becomes a living creation, born from the dialogue between body and sound.
My goal is simple: offer a vibrant, sensitive, and surprising flow, where everyone can find their own journey. When the room breathes in unison, the music comes alive and the magic happens."
DJ Hendrix
Neo-Tango DJ, designed for today's movement.
"What truly motivates me is creating an alchemy, a subtle osmosis between the music, the movement, the embrace, and each person's feelings. It's about offering the dance floor a space for new sonic possibilities and bringing forth emotion where it's not always expected. Neo Tango then becomes a sensory playground: elegant, sensual, and free."
DJ Jitep
Passionate about world music, he first experimented with it among his tango audience in Lyon's milongas. But he also draws on the richness of contemporary international music, selecting the pieces best suited for Neo Tango dancers, and he takes great pleasure in discovering new melodies.
Besides constantly enriching his repertoire, he offers dancers the opportunity to open themselves up to new emotions, without forgetting the nostalgic themes inherent to tango!
DJETTE Lor
Laure participated in NeoGaronne a few years ago, and her performance made our ears prick up and perk up a little, because her offering was surprising and immediately moved us. Since then, she has been invited to festivals with a larger attendance, and each time, she has attracted new fans!
DJ Maryse
"It’s amazing to note how sometimes the oldest are the youngest at heart! DJ Maryse is someone who always has a surprising setlist. She always brings her share of surprises, with some new tracks that no other DJ has thought of before, and she has managed to reinvent herself over the years, both in terms of content and style. So much so that as she's completely booked up, and she's entrusted me with writing her DJ biography. In any case, she'll be able to delight your ears during the Neopostale festival. See you there!" Signed, Phil
DJ Mathilde (from Toulouse)
Mathilde will be one of the 7 DJ Rookies (new recruits) this year at NeoGaronne.
She has a few colours in her palette: a life filled with dance, music in her heart, poetry in her eyes and... a whimsical touch!
In short, the perfect combination for a pleasant surprise. We'll be all ears to witness her debut.
DJ Mircea
Host of milongas and neolongas on the international scene.
"My goal is to create a beautiful environment for dancers, by choosing music that drives everyone onto the dance floor, and I try to offer moments of happiness.
Though I am a romantic at heart, I also love energetic, fun music that puts me in a good mood.
My sophisticated and inviting atmospheres are ideal for discerning dancers."
DJ Phil
Welcome to NeoGaronne! I'm very passionate about organizing this part of the festival, and I'm so glad I started because it's becoming increasingly popular. It's a real pleasure to dance outdoors at this time of year in Toulouse. The location truly captures the essence of the city, right on the banks of the Garonne. I can’t wait to welcome you there and see you dance to my music.
DJ R@ffo
Raffaele Pannozzo started in Rome in 2017 as a neo-tango DJ and VJ.
He quickly turned to traditional tango, then developed a personal and innovative style, blending traditional and alternative tango.
Since settling in France in 2020, R@ffo has captivated audiences at numerous milongas and international tango festivals, whether dedicated to traditional tango, neo-tango, or a blend of the two styles.
DJ Saskia
Saskia is a purely neo-tango DJ. In her sets, she uses all kinds of music, as long as it's danceable. Her sets aim to serve the dancers, bringing to us music that can transport and ignite that tango connection.
Her background as a dancer is Contact improvisation but as she began dancing tango, wanting to learn contact tango, she was bitten by the traditional tango bug. It's a heritage she truly honors. But her love for contemporary music and the playful nature of neo-tango continue to draw her in. That's why her motto is: "Same soul, different sounds".
DJ Sylvain
Sylvain d'Angers mainly performs in western France, in Nantes, and co-organizes the fantastic New Year's Eve Neo Tango Festival in the West... His music is eclectic: in addition to essential Neo Tango tracks, he incorporates Electrotango, American pop, French songs, feel-good pop, music from here and elsewhere, rock and rap, and classical gems. All styles are welcome, as long as they complement our dances and speak to our souls.
DJ La Estrella (Poland)
My sets invite dancers to transform their bodies into instruments of emotion through which music can express itself in space and time.
I consider music to be a language that allows for improvised dialogue.
I like bold and unexpected fusions.
